This is Atul from Delhi, somtime before i complained to Airtel Customer Service, Eastern UP. Sir, i was a user of Airtel prepaid form feb 06 to march 09. I became a lifetime customer of Airtel on 27 dec.08. I was asked to recharge 200rs/ within 6 months as per policy of company for lifetime users. But, On apr. 09, when i used my sim card i found it was deactive. Therfore, i talked to customer care they informed me you did not make any single call to anyone, so it became deactive they also said to start me again submitting a photo and identity paper. Then i made all necessary process with 120 rs/ fee to restart my sim card.
But it could not start, i made them call and call. I mailed Airtel Customer Service more than 5 or 6 times which i can show you with unique identity number.
Now, what can i do? I should claim it in consumer court or not.

I have an Airtel mobile prepaid connection from Andhra Pradesh with a lifetime validity. The mobile number is 9959347617. I am presently residing at Wellington(Tamil Nadu) and was using the phone with a recharge of Rs 222. But today when I recharged the phone with Rs 222, the message received showed that the talk time is Rs 2.22 only. i tried to call up customer care of airtel and even the manager of Airtel at Coimbatore Mr Pradeep at his mobile no. 9940683011, but no one is receiving any calls despite having tried for more than two hours. I have two complaints with Airtel: -
(a) Recharge of Rs 222 has not been affected and the shopkeeper says it is not his fault. i have lost the money.
(b) There is no one from customer care available to listen to my complaint.
Please affect the recharge of talktime of Rs 222 and instruct teh customer care personnel to be receptive to complaints from customers.

I was using a SIM card of AIRTEL - Mobile No. 09993826434. My mobile phone was lost on 3rd March 2010.
On same day, I requested thro' their 121 customer care service to block the SIM. I ran for many days from AIRTEL, Mansarovar Office of Bhopal to AIRTEL Office Platinum Plaza to get a SIM having same number with all the required documents. But the SIM was series of 999 number SIM was not available and lastly I got on 8th March 2010.
Now, On 9 March 2010, I tried to get the bill of my phone so that Police & I can trace my mobile used to reach the thief thro’ my bill.
I tried 121. They suggested you call on 198 and then I was asked to contact 9893098930. I called to said mobile number but of no use then they said to call 198 and 198 diverted me to 121.

Lastly, I called a person (IMRAN) of AIRTEL office Platinum plaza, Bhopal on mobile number 9993048758. He helped and suggested me procedure that for prepaid bill you have to send massage by SMS MY EPREPBILL MAR <email address> to 121. I told, It will cost Rs.50 for a Bill. I was ready to pay. I tried to send SMS at least TEN times.
But all my effort failed SMS was not going to 121. I was getting each time a message "Message sending failed. No network support for massage". I have balance of about Rs.504.48/-. I can make phone calls but not able to send SMS. WHY?
THUS, I TREAT THE MOST HOPLESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE SET OF PEOPLES ARE SITTING IN CUSTOMER CARE OFFICE OF AIRTEL. THEY ARE SAMELESS PEOPLE.
Will anybody will help me and check the service of AIRTEL?

Please speak with the Customer care and get it rectified. After the Problem is solved call 1909 from your Number and Register for National Do Not Disturb Service by whch you will be stopped recieving all the promotional sms and calls from any of the marketing companies throughout the country. By activating this you wont be charged any and there can't be no future depletions from Airtel too.

Just replace your Sim card by filling up the application fee at any of the airtel showroom, submit the ID, Photograph(only Passport size) and address proofs which you have submitted earlier for the sim to get activated. Your Sim will be activated with in 4 hrs Time and all the Balance and Validity with your old sim will be carried to the new one other than the address book (contacts) and messages. They will charge you some around Rs. 25.00

I lost my cell no 9618571292 on dated 13 may 2010 when i was call to customer care they told me that this number is not belong to your name i was surpriz how is it possible.i have purchase this number to the shopkeeper and submitted all the document after that the airtel has start my services now i donot know what will be going on please give me advice how i will surrender this number.in the mobile phone there is so many contact as well as message which is so much important to me.

I am using airtel prepaid sim

I am using airtel prepaid sim from last one and half years.
From last two three days i am recieving a unknown calls and sms for chating at night after 10'oclock. I have not registered my mobile number for friends chating, and these calls disturbing my privacy.

Kinldy look into the matter, this kind of promotional calls and sms will be harmful for our society and especially young generation.

please take care of these issue and i need immediate assistance in this regard otherwise i will file and consumer complainta and this will be bad for me and u company as well.

I am Ashok Kaim from Agra, i am having problem regarding SIM deactivation, i purchased Airtel SIM from Big Bazaar and the same time i have Deposited my documents to the distributor and till now my SIM is not activated,,
my previous SIM also not activated by airtel due to documentation, customer guys were saying that your documents is not deposited yet,, but i already deposited my documents at the time of purchasing and my SIM is deleted from SERVER. so its very big communication gap and serious issue.

Now i have purchased my 2nd SIM but it have been past 1 month and still my Airtel no. 9997669944 is not activated,, WHYYYYYYYYY....................

Tell me the solution SHOULD I CHANGE AIRTEL TO ANOTHER NETWORK.

Airtel is the only network which offers absolute service. Actually You better go and submit your passport size photograph, ID proof Clearly photo copied, Adress proof also copied very clearly to your nearest airtel showroom. Fill up the MEF (Application Form). It will be activated within 24 working hours. (Better if you can visit the Head office).

We have taken an Airtel

We have taken an Airtel connection about two months back and submitted all the relevant documents to the distributor at that time itself. Firstly it took 7-8 days for activation (after 8-10 times follow ups).

After about a month the company has disconnected the connection (without intimating us the fact and reason). 3-4 days we just waited that might be some tower problem etc. But when we called up to custmor care (which is really pathatic) they said your documents were not complete that is why we have stopped both incoming and outgoing.

Then we went to another distributor (in Shara Mall) they said Sim has been deactivated and you have to submit all the papers again. After two days we submitted all the relevant documents and filled in the form. He checked our form and docuemtns thorougly and said it will get activited in 72 hrs. It is being 5 days we are waiting for activation.

Just now i have spoken to one of the Airtel Customer Care personnel, he said again form is not filled up correctly and some deficiancy in documents. He just disconnected the phone without giving any way-forward and I requested him that i want to talk to his senior.

It is the hight of hasselness and now have decided to give up balance in prepaid account and go for other players in market (like aircel or Docomo).

And want to convey this massage to all the readers that NEVER NEVER GO FOR AIRTEL CONNECTION.

May be in coming days i will give up my post paid connection also, I dont want to maintain any commercial relationships with Airtel after facing so much of hassel.

And I request to Sunil Mittal to please arrange for teaching classes for your distributors and Custmer Care. Otherwise your customer base will come down due to these guys which are really useless for your valueable customers. And really they are spoiling the Brand value in the market in this competitive era.
